Arrival of ASUS Minibooks

The big day has finally arrived. After much anticipation we received the news that our school's bid for the RM ASUS Minibooks has been successful! I must confess - I'm suddenly ovewhelmed by a wave of joy and trepidation - what have I done!!!!

This was about a month ago - just before the much awaited Spring break. Now I'm feeling much calmer and ready to face the challenge of 34 minibooks tapping into the school's wireless network. The year 5 teachers are both very excited with the prospect of embedding ICT into every aspect of learning and teaching and are hard at work planning how this will look.

On Monday, Anthony arrived with "the goods" and we are now in the process of linking the minibooks to the school's network. No small task!! If all goes well everything will be up and running this coming Monday.

That is all for now. Watch this space for updates from myself, the year 5 teachers and of course they who must never be forgotten - the children.

Hello Barley Lane.

I think it is fantastic that you are using the new RM Minibook. I have one myself and I love using it. The reason I am so pleased about is because of its portability.

I have recently read and article in the Guardian about the Mini Book http://education.guardian.co.uk/link/story/0,,2266333,00.html
