The mini laptops are fantastic. You can use them in every lesson. It's still a way to learn but a fun way to learn.Every pupil will enjoy doing their research on the laptops than on plain little books , most children get bored reading books, but with laptops everyone will love it.
The laptops are so COOL!

Laptops rule!
The laptops are very handy because when we do comprehension we can move at our own pace. We have explored different websites to find out important information by ourselves or with a buddy. The laptops are absolutely perfect!

Trial and Error - or shall we say Improvement
Hi All
Since the last update, Barley Lane has had the dreaded phone call from Ofsted and lived to tell the tale. "Did the Minibooks see the light of day?" you may ask.
Well, put yourself in OUR shoes - new technology, never been used before, on Ofsted day???
Believe it or not - some of them did! Year 5 Science lessons created the perfect opportunity. 'Research' was the word of the day and on Wednesday morning we dotted a few minibooks around the classroom and the children thought it was absolutely fab! The lesson went great.
Of course the other Year 5 class decided to do the same in the afternoon and all went pearshaped. The minibooks decided to change their settings back to default!! Luckily there were no Ofsted inspectors in sight :-)
So - back to the drawing board. Our wonderful technician, Steve has managed to sort out the problem and we will definitely be up and running this week.
Like I said - watch this space for word from the children.
